Scenes Cut From 'Star Trek' Detailed
Movie

Spock's birth, Nero's 25-year prison sentence, and a mutiny on Nero's ship are among the scenes left out when J.J. Abrams-directed 'Star Trek' beamed in theaters in May.

AceShowbiz - A shooting draft of the script for the already-released "Star Trek" has fallen into the lap of TNMC and with that, several scenes left out from the final version of the J.J. Abrams-directed sci-fi are revealed. Though the site mentioned that it doesn't know how many of the scenes were actually filmed or whether it will be included in the DVD, TNMC does detailed much of the deleted scenes.

[Spoiler Alert!] One of the deleted scenes deals with Spock's birth. "The thrust of the scene is Spock's mother Amanda expressing her displeasure with Sarek when he isn't present for the birth and then doesn't understand the emotional implications of this. One gets the feeling that this probably happened an awful lot in this relationship," so the site explained.

Another cut-off scene sees that while Nero's mining ship the Narada tries to recover from being rammed by the USS Kelvin, bunches of Klingon spaceships decloak and surround it. The next deleted scene should have shown the Rura Penthe Klingon Prison Asteroid where Nero and his crew are being held. Catching someone tries to smuggle Federation maps to Nero, the Klingons begin to interrogate him.

The mutiny scene reportedly also ends up in the chopping block. TNMC described the scene, "As the Narada approaches Earth in which Nero's second in command, Ayel, threatens mutiny. He intimates that the crew feels destroying Vulcan has gotten them revenge and they now want to simply return to Romulus, which at this point in time still remains."

"Nero understands the crew's desire. But he will not return until everyone involved in the destruction of Romulus is punished," the description further read. "He kills Ayel and orders the drilling into Earth's crust begin. This is pretty major since in the final film, Ayel doesn't die and continues to be involved in events during the climax." More details on the deleted scenes can be read via TNMC.

The eleventh feature film of the famed sci-fi movie, "Star Trek" revolves around Kirk and his fellow U.S.S. Enterprise crew members during their years at Starfleet Academy. It will start with Federation starship U.S.S. Kelvin being attacked by a vicious Romulan. This movie features the likes of Chris Pine as Captain James T. Kirk, Zachary Quinto as Spock, Karl Urban as Bones McCoy, John Cho as Hikaru Sulu, Zoe Saldana as Uhura and many others.
