In an exclusive interview with RapRadar.com, Eminem confirms that the Bruno's butt-naked segment at 2009 MTV Movie Awards held this weekend was staged.

AceShowbiz - Three days after the 18th annual MTV Movie Awards was held, Eminem has finally broken his silence regarding the much-talked Bruno's butt-naked segment at the gala, confirming that the incident indeed was staged. Opening up about the matter in an exclusive interview with RapRadar, the comeback rapper reveals, Sacha Baron Cohen "called me when we were in Europe and he had an idea to do something outrageous at the Movie Awards. I'm a big fan of his work so I agreed to get involved with the gag."

Eminem then continues, "I'm thrilled that we pulled this off better than we rehearsed it. It had so many people going 'nuts' so to speak. Everyone was blowing me up about it." Asked on where he headed for after leaving the star-studded affair, he tells RapRadar, "After the ceremony I went back to my hotel and laughed uncontrollably for about 3 hours. Especially after I saw it on air."

At 2009 MTV Movie Awards taking place at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, Calif. on Sunday, May 31, Sacha Baron Cohen dressed as his famous character Bruno when he was billed to announce the winner of Best Male Performance MTV Movie Award, which went to "High School Musical 3: Senior Year" star Zac Efron. He set tongue wagging when he appeared wearing angel's wings and drifting down from the ceiling of the building. In the middle of the stunt, Sacha's Bruno got tangled, fell in the crowd and landed his thong-clad bottoms on Eminem's face. The come-back rapper was videotaped getting mad over the incident, which led him walking out of the star-studded affair.

Soon thereafter, speculation arose whether the segment was staged or not. Scott Aukerman, one of the writers for the awards show, has been quoted as confirming in a post on his blog earlier this week, "Yes, the Bruno/Eminem incident was staged." He revealed further, "That's all anyone wants to talk about, so let's get it out of the way. They rehearsed it at dress and yes, it went as far as it did on the live show then. Okay, you can stop reading this blog now!" However, the post has since been taken down for unknown reason.
