Claimed to be unready for another performance just yet, Amy Winehouse cancels forthcoming gig at Shepherd's Bush Empire in London.

AceShowbiz - Amy Winehouse has just pulled off an upcoming concert in London, her people confirm. "Amy and her band will no longer be performing at the Shepherd's Bush Empire on May 31," so her management team reveals.

On the reason behind Amy's cancellation, her friend says as quoted by The Sun, "She is drinking like a lunatic and there was no way she'd be ready to perform." Her friend further claims, "She still has too many demons to fight. It is such a shame."

A source, meanwhile, reveals what Amy feels about the cancellation. "Amy is really upset about missing the dates as Island have been so good to her," the source states. "Amy understands a lot of people will be disappointed."

To those already purchasing tickets for the concert, Amy's management team issues a statement saying, "Amy would like to apologize to her fans who bought tickets for the shows." Furthermore, full refund is promised to be given to them at the point of purchase.

Previously, Amy Winehouse made an early exit during her live appearance at the 18th annual St. Lucia Jazz Festival. "Singing the songs she sang in St Lucia has brought back too many painful memories. She just can't face it," an insider testified.
