Aside from announcing the viewers' favorite in film industry, 2009 MTV Movie Awards will also host the premiere of an exclusive clip from the much awaited "The Twilight Saga's New Moon". According to E! Online, the first real footage of the "Twilight" sequel will be debuted during the show with series stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner presenting.

"Fans can tune-in to the show to see sneak peeks from three of the most highly anticipated movies of the year," show producer Mark Burnett said of the matter, as quoted by E!'s Marc Malkin. "These clips have never been seen before and we're very excited that 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' is one of them." Nonetheless, it is still unclear which scene to be shown at the gala ceremony.

The clip won't be the first time the series getting an exclusive debut at MTV Movie Awards. Last year, a clip of "Twilight" featuring the battle between Edward and his nemesis James, who was played by Cam Gigandet, was aired during the show. "Twilight" itself has dominated the awards' nominations by collecting seven nods, including Best Movie and Breakthrough Performance Male for Pattinson and Lautner.

2009 MTV Movie Awards will be aired live on MTV on Sunday, May 31 with "Saturday Night Live" star Andy Samberg serving as the host. In the meantime, fans can vote for the winners starting Monday, May 4, in MTV Movie Awards. The voting line for Best Movie will stay open during the live awards show.

"The Twilight Saga's New Moon" will be directed by "The Golden Compass" helmer Chris Weitz using the script penned by "Twilight" screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg. Centering on the personal conflict Bella experiences following Edward Cullen's abrupt departure, it will follow the mortal beauty as she finds herself drawn into the world of the werewolves, ancestral enemies of the vampires, and her loyalties tested. The vampire drama is targeting a November 20 U.S. release.
