Celebrity

Showing her gratitude to Ryan O'Neal for acting very supportive toward her during her cancer battle, Farrah Fawcett has thrown him a birthday party at her house.

Farrah Fawcett paid it forward to longtime partner Ryan O'Neal, who has been supporting her throughout her cancer battle, by hosting a 68th birthday party for the actor on Monday evening, April 20 at her house. Alana Stewart, who is Farrah's celebrity friend, told People that there was "cake and champagne." No record if the party was a private affair or a star-studded one.

Also opening up about Farrah's latest health condition, Alana claimed the actress "is not 86 pounds" just like what her son Redmond James O'Neal has acknowledged during a court hearing last week. "Redmond is young and overreacted a little. Farrah has lost weight, but not that much. No, no, no," Alana insisted, adding, "I just saw her last night and she looked better. She had color in her face and was talking and laughing."

Back on April 17, Redmond told the judge during a court hearing in his case of violating parole which stemmed from drug charges that his actress mother's weight dropped to just "86 pounds" and so he wanted to stay close to her. "I want to be there for my mom," the 24-year-old guy said. "My mom only weighs 86 pounds right now and I'm sorry your honor."

Farrah herself has rarely been seen making public appearance since her last hospitalization early this month. Being treated for internal bleeding which was not directly related to her anal cancer, she was discharged from the hospital few days later. Ryan had been accompanying her during her hospital stay.
