Katherine Heigl said that the set of 'Grey's Anatomy' is one of her favorite places and the crew are her friends so she will stay.

AceShowbiz - The news of Dr. Izzie Stevens' exit from the hall of Seattle Grace Hospital, keep bouncing up and down but never got directly addressed by the actress who plays the role itself until now. Katherine Heigl, as quoted by The AP, said that she will not leave "Grey's Anatomy" unless the producers want her to. "I'm there," Heigl vowed.

During a studio party on March 27 to celebrate the medical drama's 100th episode, Heigl emphasized that she doesn't know much about Izzie's fate. She said, "I was assuming that at one point and I got a lot of shrugged shoulders and shakes of the head, so I don't know if that's a yes or a no. No one will tell me and I don't know how this is going to go."

Executive producer Shonda Rhimes and the writers have decided to have Izzie suffering from brain cancer and going through a difficult procedure to cure it. "I don't know if I live or die. I don't know how Izzie fares," Heigl continued.

Rhimes refused to comment on what will happen to Izzie but she dished out a clue for the 100th episode that will air May 7. "The only thing I'll tell you about the 100th is that it takes place on Meredith and Derek's wedding day. That's big," she said. "... and that's all I'm going to say."
