Leonard Nimoy on Top List to Voice Fallen in 'Transformers 2'
Movie

Scriptwriter Roberto Orci has spilled that he was interested in having Leonard Nimoy to voice the villain robot, The Fallen, in 'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen'.

AceShowbiz - Two things came out from Roberto Orci this week regarding "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" and its sequel "Transformers 3". On the former, the scribe noted via Don Murphy forum that he has been in talks with Leonard Nimoy, who is also in his upcoming movie "Star Trek", to voice The Fallen.

Nimoy is known to have filled in the voice for Galvatron on the animated version of "Transformers: The Movie". Orci has put him on top of his list, mainly for that reason and the fact that Nimoy is director Michael Bay's cousin by marriage. However, fans of the robot clan are also suggesting Frank Welker who had voiced several characters in the TV series version.

"I actually talked to him about it, given the odd coincidence that he is Michael Bay's cousin through marriage, but fan outcry has also put Welker in the running," Orci wrote. No clue yet who finally secure the role.

One more important news that Orci shared is the possibility of him not returning to pen the script for the third installment of the "Transformers" movie. His writing partner Alex Kurtman is not too. "Time for fresh blood!" Orci wrote. "The main reason we would move on is because we risk getting stale and comfortable. If you only sing one song for too long, you miss the opportunity to sing news songs. We'll see."

"Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" will come in U.S. theaters June 24 while "Transformers 3" is reportedly aimed for Independence Day holiday in 2011.
