Jewel May Miss 'Dancing with the Stars' After Knees Problem
TV

'Dancing with the Stars' may not be an option for singer Jewel Kilcher who has been diagnosed with inflammation of a tendon.

AceShowbiz - The chance of Jewel Kilcher winning "Dancing with the Stars" is dimmer as she has revealed a health problem before the show even premieres on TV. Writing on her blog, the singer said that she has been diagnosed with tendinitis after feeling pain on her knees during rehearsals.

"I guess I really over did it on the rehearsal front!" she writes. "My knees have been hurting so badly that I finally broke down and talked to (husband Ty Murray's) knee doctor yesterday. He said I have tendonitis in my knees and that I have to start a course of medicine to try and bring the swelling down. Yuck! It's mainly my left knee, and I can't believe I hurt it so badly."

The worst possible scenario is her absence from the competition that will premiere March 9 on ABC. "Now I'm just worried I won't even be able to dance!" she says further. "Hopefully these steroids will really do the trick and I can keep bad flare ups at a (sic) bay in the future."

Jewel is paired to first-time Dancing pro Dmitry Chaplin. She admits to have the same work ethic as him, which is "ATTACK". She said in remorse, "Well, it bit me in the behind, so I will have to bide my time and practice my moves in my head." The singer has been ordered to rest for a couple of days but she promises to give her fans update through video blog.
