A famous actress herself, Drew Barrymore admits she had a crush on Christian Bale since she first met him when they were still kids back in the 1980s. At that time, the actor was cast in 1987 film "Empire of the Sun," which was directed by Barrymore's movie mentor Steven Spielberg.
"He's so cute. And I knew him when he was a kid. He was in Empire of the Sun," so the actress recalls her first encounter with Bale. Now that they are no longer kids, Barrymore admits she still has a crush on Bale, saying, "If he walked into the room now, I would totally clam up. Or I might go overboard and embarrass myself."
Drew Barrymore, who was catapulted to fame for her portrayal as Gertie in "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial", has been busy promoting her new big screen flick "He's Just Not That Into You." Beside starring in the comedy-romance film, she also gives hand at producing. Adding more resume into her acting career, Barrymore can next be seen starring in "Everybody's Fine", which not yet has a release date.
