The cast of "Inkheart" walk on the red carpet for the New York City premiere of the action fantasy movie on Thursday, January 15. Spotted among the movie's stars are Brendan Fraser, Eliza Bennett, Andy Serkis and Paul Bettany, the latest who is accompanied by his actress wife Jennifer Connelly.

Also standing up to promote the movie and do some interviews with the press are the movie's director Iain Softley, producer slash author of the adapted book, Cornelia Funke, President and COO of Warner Bros. Entertainment Alan Horn, singer/songwriter Peter Cincotti and actress Sienna Guillory.

"Inkheart" centers its story on Mortimer "Mo" Folchart and his 12-year-old daughter, Meggie, who share an extraordinary gift for bringing characters from books to life when they read aloud. But there is a danger: When a character is brought to life from a book, a real person disappears into its pages. Meggie's mother was kidnapped in one of the mystical worlds, and Mo is determined to save her from the evil Capricorn. It will hit the U.S. theaters on January 23.

According to SnitchSeeker.com, the movie is most likely to have sequels. Screen plays for "Inkspell" and" Inkdeath" reportedly are available and that the director and cast members have confirmed that they are on board.
