Prince Plots Three New Albums in 2009
Music

This year, Prince will drop three new LPs, two of which are tentatively titled 'MPLSOUND' and 'Lotus Flower'.

Singer/songwriter Prince plans to release three new albums in 2009 to follow up his 2007 LP "Planet Earth". He has reportedly almost finished working on the three of them.

In cooking up new materials for the upcoming efforts, Prince does not work with his label Columbia Records. Citing that "the gatekeepers have to change", he is in talks with "a major retailer" to distribute the LPs in physical forms.

Two of his new albums are tentatively called "MPLSOUND" and "Lotus Flower". Meanwhile, the other one will be a collaborative record with Valente and titled "Elixir".

Prince is experimenting with "electro-flavored" jams in "MPLSOUND". He bangs on "Lotus Flower" with most of guitar sounds, and plays "dirty" in "Elixir" with Valente's buttery voice melding into beats by Morris Hayes and his own guitar lines.
