The network has done a preparation for January 11 and 12 premiere of '24' seventh season, picking up '24: Redemption' for November 23 airing as the bridge between the sixth and seventh season.

AceShowbiz - Good news for the fans of FOX's action drama series, "24". Long time not seeing Jack Bauer's adventure as the United States' government agent for about 18 months since the sixth season finale in spring 2007, the fans are going to watch its seventh season's premiere in early January 2009.

FOX has announced that January 11 and 12 will be the exact premiere, consisting of two-hour premiere for each date. The four-hours premiere completes the series' episodes to 150, while the seventh season will run until May.

The new season of "24" will be full of surprises, beginning with the first appearance of the USA's female president on the show, Allison Taylor played by Cherry Jones. Then it continues with the return of Tony Almeida's character, Bauer's trusted person. Almeida, who was featured dead in the season five will be back in the new season for some reason to betray Bauer.

Because of the long break between "24" sixth to seventh season, FOX has done some anticipation by producing the series' additional project called "24: Redemption", which is set to air on November 23. It is a two-hour TV-movie prequel that correlates between seasons six and seven. The set is in Southern Africa where Jack finds himself caught up in a military coup.

Three clips below are the part of "24: Redemption", airing on FOX.

  • '24: Redemption' Helicopter Attack
  • '24: Redemption' Jack's Goodbye
  • '24: Redemption' School Attack
