Lily Allen recently announces that she will launch her sophomore major studio effort next year on February 9. "My new album will be released on the 9th of Feb 2009. I know it's a while away, but there will be bits and bobs flying around before then," the singer wrote on her MySpace page.

Speaking of the materials from her next installment "Stuck on the Naughty Step", the "Smile" singer explains that she struggles to get all the things in the right place as she doesn't want to make a sub-standard record. "I am trying really hard to do this album with integrity," the singer added. "I just don't want to put out sub standard stuff . I always thought an album was a body of work in itself. you take it or leave it."

Beside rushing her upcoming album, Lily also reveals that she has been busy filming a video to promote the album. "I'm shooting a video (for viral release) in the next couple of weeks, to keep you entertained," Lily said.

In related news, Lily is confirmed to work with British rapper Wiley for his fifth major studio album. "I respected her even more after that. The track we've done is a scorcher. This is the way I want to go," the rapper comments on their collaboration.
