Reports also stated that the song will be officially released via digital formats on August 5, while the ad campaign is set to begin in July.

Revealing about the working process for her new song's recording, Hollywood Records senior VP of marketing Ken Bunt, said to the press, "We had to work within her crazy schedule to determine what direction she wants to go with her music." "Wake Up Call" itself will also be included on Hayden's upcoming yet to be titled debut album set to due in 2009.
