The fifth installment of the horror thriller 'Saw' is said to be starting its production on Monday, March 17.

Good news came from the production of the latest installment of iconic horror thriller "Saw V". According to the film's official site, the shooting of the film will be started on March 11 in Toronto, Canada.

Aside from the production update, the site also noted that a new cast member has been signed. Saw Official News announced that the depicter of Timothy Delahunt in "The Departed" Mark Rolston has been signed to join the other three cast that have been announced earlier, Tobin Bell, Scott Patterson and Costas Mandylor.

The Lions Gate Films' movie slated for October 24, 2008 release will see "Saw 2" to "Saw IV" production designer, David Hackl, as the film's first-time helmer. Further, it was reported that many of the original crew are coming back for the fifth film, including cinematographer David A. Amstrong, costume designer Alex Kavanaugh and prop master Jim Murray.
