A representative for P. Diddy has slammed rumors the hip hop mogul wants to change his stage name.

That P. Diddy wants to change his stage name again it's just not true.

A representative for the hip hop mogul has slammed earlier rumors claimed P. Diddy wanted to change his name into Sean John, which actually is the name of his clothing line.

Diddy, whose real name is Sean John Combs, changed his stage name from Puff Daddy to P. Diddy back in August 2005. He later on dropped the P and referred to himself simply as Diddy, saying that "the P was getting between me and my fans."

By Wednesday, January 23 there were rumors on the street that said Diddy wanted to make yet another name change. He was even quoted as saying that he considered name change as something common. "I have always evolved and taken a different name each time. It's nothing unusual where I come from. Right now I want to be Sean John because that's where I am," so he told the Daily Star.

However, Diddy's representative claimed the rumors as false, told MTV News in an interview, "Recent reports of a name change are totally false, he is still Diddy. He is currently in 'Sean John' mode as the upcoming Sean John fashion show is scheduled for February 8 in New York."

Meanwhile, Diddy is reported to have been looking for a new personal assistant (PA) with a "whatever-it-takes attitude." Visit workforpdiddy.com to apply.
