DMX to Release Double CD, One With No Cursing
Music

Under Bodog Music, the rapper will drop a Hip-Hop album in the same time he releases a 'clean' Gospel rap CD.

Self-proclaimed to be the first artist to release a double album within one year, DMX is ready to roll out the same plan this year. The rapper will drop a double CD titled 'Walk With Me Now and You'll Fly With Me Later'.

One CD will contain his usual Hip-Hop record while the other will be a Gospel. "I'm talking about a hip-hop album and a gospel album," DMX explained. "The same title is gonna be on both albums, but on one album one part (of the title) is gonna be(highlighted) while on the other album, the other name is gonna be (highlighted)."

For one thing the Gospel CD eliminates any kind of cursing. "How 'bout that one?" DMX told MTV. "No songs about bitches, no songs about robbing, just straight 'Give God the glory.'". The singer who once considered becoming a minister said that it was "destiny" that made him do a gospel album. He said, "I just go with the flow."

No exact release date has been revealed but schedule is mapped out for it to come out in the coming months. Bodog Music, his new label that he joined after departing from Sony Records, will take charge in promoting and distributing the album.

"Its gonna be real big," DMX gushed. "I got the right amount of money I need. The thing about these big record labels is that they give you a whole bunch of money just so they can take it back from you. Then you don't even own your own sh**. I need to own my sh**, son. (Bodog) got enough money to do what I need to do and I'm good. They got more than enough promotion, they got other sh** I can bridge off into."

Some reports said that among the collaborators in the album are Swizz Beatz, Nas, Mary J. Blige, 50 Cent, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and Eve.
