After 6 years without a studio release, The Black Crowes finally announce a new work entitled 'Warpaint' that will be dropped on March 4. The album will be circulated by Megaforce/Sony Red BMG.
Producing the album is Paul Stacey, the band's guitarist who replaced Marc Ford last year. The album that contains 11 tracks was recorded at Allaire Studios in Woodstock, N.Y. This would be the first studio with the band's new members, keyboardist Adam MacDougall and guitarist Luther Dickinson.
The band's original members Chris and Rich Robinson have penned all the tracks except for 'God's Got It' that received the assistance from Rev. Charlie Jackson. On choosing the album's title, Chris explained that it signifies "the revolution that could take place in all our souls."
The album will be supported with a tour in Spring that will kick off on the album's release date. The band will then embark on a world tour starting from March 24 in Australia.
