Rendition Premiere at the 2007 TIFF Marked by Cast Attendance
Movie

Leading stars Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal were present along with Omar Metwally, who plays the husband of Witherspoon's character.

AceShowbiz - Big excitement filled the front part of Toronto's Roy Thompson Hall on Friday, September 7 when several Hollywood notable names came down to strut along the red carpet at the premiere for "Rendition" at this year's Toronto International Film Festival.

Stealing most attention no doubt was the flick's female lead Reese Witherspoon who preferred to wear a strapless tight black velvet dress for the occasion. Co-stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Omar Metwally were also spotted to be present despite the apparent absence of other noted cast members, Meryl Streep and Alan Arkin.

A stark reminiscent of the case of Syrian-born Canadian Maher Arar who was subjected to the United States policy of extraordinary rendition in 2002, the movie is directed by "Tsotsi" maker Gavin Hood based on script penned by Kelley Sane. Filming was carried in South Africa and Morocco as well as in some U.S. Cities like Washington D.C., Anaheim, and Los Angeles.
