Information assistant of the BBC campaign has confirmed via e-mail: "It is true that this year's official BBC Children in Need single will be performed by the Spice Girls. We are yet to confirm the details in November, and full details will be on bbc.co.uk/pudsey nearer the time."

"We've got full involvement from all of them," BBC One's Peter Fincham said in July. "They are all keen to get involved with Children In Need. They are recording two new songs and one of them might be a single."

Spice Girls will release their 'Greatest Hits' on November 6. It was reported to be released in three different formats. Apart from the standard edition, there will be a version with a DVD as a bonus and another with two bonus DVDs.
