Music

Rock act AC/DC finally gather up their materials to be molded into a record which may be followed by a string of tour.

Australia's very own heavy metal band AC/DC is confirmed having their highly-anticipated album under way. The band whose latest effort was 2000's "Stiff Upper Lip" has begun crystallizing their materials into a record which will be followed by a tour.

"Malcom and Angus (Young) are in the studio," frontman Brian Johnson said at New Jersey's Classic Rock Cares gig. "There's an album in the works, and a tour, too, I think. The boys are working on something special. They don't want to do just another album."

AC/DC has actually started writing raw materials since 2004 but during a 2005 interview Johnson said that they were still not sure of when they will hit the studio or who will produce it. Co-founder Malcolm said that this album has "gotta be perfect". It was reported that Malcolm goes harder in riffs for this one and that Johnson gets a say in writing the lyrics for the first time since 1988.
