The Starfleet members will soon hop onboard their space ships.

Screenwriter Roberto Orci has delightfully revealed to SCI FI Wire that "Star Trek" is now entering the pre-production stage and going to have its principal photography started November this year instead of October as previously reported.

Though remained silent about the plot details of the movie, Orci further informed that casting is still in the process and that Captain Kirk would indeed be featured in.

"It's actually one of the challenges, and so we're hoping to have something by Comic-Con [in San Diego in July], but we'll see," so he remarked.

Proceeding to give more tidbits, the man also added that the flick's producers are currently wrestling with whom to cast.

"That's one of the debates, you know?" he said, merely smiling upon being asked about the recent casting rumors. "Like, how much does a familiar face hurt or not?"
