20th Century Fox has bought the screen rights to a book by John Hulme and Mike Wexler as a directing and producing vehicle for "The Pink Panther" helmer Shawn Levy.

AceShowbiz - Poised to be one of the busiest directors working today, Shawn Levy is reportedly attached to both direct and produce a fantasy feature titled "The Seems" for the 20th Century Fox.
Based on John Hulme and Mike Wexler's upcoming novel "The Seems: The Glitch in Sleep", the project is set in a parallel world where everything that humans take for granted is manufactured and designed. When a glitch occurs, a young boy is drafted to correct it and save the world.
On board to pen the script are the book's authors while Levi will produce via his 21 Laps Entertainment. As for the novel, which is the first installment in a multi-book series, it will be published by Bloomsbury USA in the fall.
