Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci have revealed some important tidbits about the project to MTV.

Coming together for an exclusive talk with MTV, duo Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci have delightfully given more details about the new big screen installment of "Star Trek" franchise which they wrote and are executive producing for Paramount Pictures.

What comes as quite a surprise, the twosome has revealed that the flick's title will simply just be "Star Trek" without any subtitles followed.

"That's the intended title. I don't think we want to put any colons or anything on it," Orci remarked.

While adding that the project will have more action in it, the pair did confirmed that the film would be a re-imagining of the franchise rather than a prequel.

"We're not going to start totally from scratch," so Orci said. "We want it to feel like it's updated and of the now. That's actually the discussions we're having now: how to keep the look of the universe yet have it not look like nothing's new. It's tricky."
