Reformed rockers The Smashing Pumpkins announced via MySpace bulletin details on their forthcoming LP.

The highly anticipated album, titled "Zeitgeist", is scheduled for a July 7, 2007 release date. The set is the band's first album in seven years while becoming the follow up to their 2000 set, "MACHINA/The Machines of God".

In support of the album, Smashing Pumpkins has also announced a total of four live festival dates; June 2 - Nuremburg, Nurburgring, June 3- Nuremburg, Zeppelinfeld, June 15 - Austria, Nova Rock Festival, and June 17 Switzerland, Greenfield Festival.
