Continues to unveil titles vying for Oscar slots, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced that its members have compiled a shortlist of movies considered for Best Make-Up nomination for the upcoming 79th Academy Awards.

Seven titles have made their ways to the list and they are "Apocalypto", "Click", "Pan's Labyrinth", "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest", "The Prestige", "The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause", and "X-Men The Last Stand."

Three will be picked up as the nominees after the Academy's Makeup Award Nominating Committee view ten minutes of excerpts from each picture on Saturday, January 20. They thus will be publicly announced together with other final contenders on January 23 in the Academy's Samuel Goldwyn Theater.
