Three beautiful, talented actresses namely Anne Hathaway, Jennifer Hudson, and Jessica Biel successfully landed a prize each for their acting works at the Hollywood Magazine's Breakthrough Awards held in Los Angeles.

Hathaway, recognized for her portrayal of a naive personal assistant in "The Devil Wears Prada", was deemed Star of the Year at the event while Hudson and Biel for "Dreamgirls" and "The Illusionist", respectively.

Upon receiving the award, Hudson, the former "American Idol" contestant for the third season, took a swipe at the show's judge Simon Cowell, saying "Just go see the movie… on Christmas, Simon!" while Biel openly expressed her surprise of the winning in front of the crowd, remarking that the people at the magazine "must have got the wrong person."

In related news, Biel is reported to be the one who will receive a Rising Star Award at the Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala held January 6.

"…We're pleased to include Jessica Biel in our stellar line-up of honorees," the festival chairman Earl Greenburg commented. "Biel's stand-out performances in this year's "The Illusionist" and "Home of the Brave" continue to cement her status as a rising talent in film."
