He's young, energetic, and most of all very talented. The multi-platinum hip-hop icon Bow Wow blows the music industry again, this time with his highly anticipated new LP, "The Price of Fame".

"Finally I've gotten the green light to talk about what I've wanted to talk about for so many years. It's definitely a real rap album. I've stepped up lyrically. I want to become known as more of a lyricist, I want to prove I am more than a heart-throb," the star said on his new effort.

The set, which is his fifth, is slated for release on Tuesday, December 19 later this year. More on the album, it was produced by Bow Wow's long-time collaborator Jermaine Dupri.

The first track from the LP titled "Shortie Like Mine", featuring the American R&B superstar Chris Brown and singing newcomer Johnta Austin is blowing up nationwide, hits the #1 slot on the Billboard Monitor Rap Chart. Listen to the cool track by downloading from MusicBox.

"The Price of Fame" is the first new studio album from Bow Wow since July 2005 when his RIAA platinum-certified "Wanted" debuted at #3 on the Billboard Top 200.
