Country singer George Jones was forced to cancel three shows this weekend after fracturing his right wrist in Nashville Friday Oct 19th.

Jones' record label Bandit Records says the 75-year-old singer was going into his producer's studio in Nashville to sing on his daughter Georgette Jones' record when fell down a couple of stairs and hit the cement walkway, breaking the fall with his right hand and fracturing his wrist.

He was soon treated at Baptist Hospital in Nashville and will undergo surgery Monday Oct 23rd to make sure the wrist heals properly. The three concerts that are being postponed include that in Murray, Ky., on Friday night, and two others this weekend in Cumming, Ga., and Columbia, S.C.
