Another remake is in the making as Emmett/Furla Films, a subsidiary of Family Room Entertainment Corporation, has just announced that principal photography has been carried out on its project of Day of the Dead, a remake of the 1985 classic horror flick of George A. Romero.

Also produced by Millennium Films and Taurus Entertainment, the movie features popular names like Mena Suvari, Ving Rhames, and Nick Cannon with Steve Miner to direct based on the scripts penned by Jeffery Reddick. Story will revolve around a group of scientists, military personnel and civilians who have to risk their life battling against a swarm of zombies.

Widely known for her role in "American Beauty", Suvari is last seen on the big screen starring alongside Jennifer Aniston also Kevin Costner in "Rumor Has It" (2005) while Rhames has recently been spotted teaming up with Tom Cruise in "Mission: Impossible 3." As for Nick Cannon, the young actor recently has been quite busy in film features, being billed in at least 6 projects for 2006 releases, including "Bobby" and "Even Money."
