Singer-songwriter Michelle Branch is venturing into country music. Three years after her second solo album, the star has joined best friend and former backup singer Jessica Harp, to create a modern pop-country duo, "The Wreckers."

And as their first effort, both Brach and Harp have worked on their first album ever which resulted in "Stand Still, Look Pretty" due May 23rd, 2006.

Recorded most of the album with producer John Leventhal, the set blends progressive country, pop and roots rock. Also includes tracks recorded with John Shanks in Los Angeles and Paul Worley in Nashville, the duo have their collaboration with Shanks, "Leave the Pieces," as the album's first single.
