"Time is money", that's for The Libertines' lead vocalist/writer/guitarist Carl Barat who won't waste time doing nothing. Thus, while the band's other vocalist Pete Doherty is busy with his drug problems, Barat makes it good with his newly established band Dirty Pretty Things.

The quartet, consisting of ex-Libertines drummer Gary Powell and latter-day guitarist Anthony Rossomando plus former Cooper Temple Clause bassist Didz Hammond, will have their debut album "Waterloo to Anywhere" released internationally on May 8th later this year via Vertigo/Universal.

A U.S. release date via Interscope will follow soon thereafter. In related news, Dirty Pretty Things also has scheduled a 20-date U.K. tour began April 21, with summer festival appearances to follow.
