Please welcome your idol; Robert De Niro. To mark his return to film, the actor is still in talks to star in "The Winter of Frankie Machine," a drama action flick based on a soon-to-be-published novel by Don Winslow.

The film would see the screen legend De Niro play the role of an organized crime killer Frankie who retires to become the owner/operator of a quiet bait shop. But when he is targeted for a hit, Machine is forced to dust down his gun and return to the business.

"The Winter of Frankie Machine" is slated for a next year production. Though, no writer, director, nor other cast on board.
