- Jan 24, 2005
AceShowbiz - Johnny Carson, who dedicated his 30 years for comedy and who was also believed as the king of late-night television and popular host of NBC's Tonight Show, died Sunday at age 79. Jeff Sotzing, Carson's nephew representing the whole family said that Carson died in piece on early Sunday morning with his family surround him. Yet, he didn't mention the exact cause of the death and any further details, including the time and place of Carson death.
As a matter of fact, NBC mentions that Carson dies of his emphysema (a respiratory disease that can be attributed to smoking) at his Malibu home. It's not surprising then, despite the fact that Carson was addicted to smoke and often had a cigarette in hand that he became a heavy smoker. However, Carson death has left a depth mourning for his fans, friends and family.
