From an early age Richard Whiner learned a valuable lesson to take advantage of the hand we are all death. He ultimately embraced his given name to become a successful Urologist and Mohel. Richard is one of those guys you can never find a gift for: the man who has everything. Successful doctor, hopeless humanitarian, charismatic visionary, friend to many, role model, husband and father. Soon, however, the self-described superstar finds there's one thing he needs: time, more time.

"Pearly Gates" is a story about wanting to be remembered, and knowing that long after death, a person can live on through the memories of family, friends associates and even strangers whose lives that person touched. It is also a musical/comedy about life, priorities, the strange way humans behave when devastating news comes their way.
