He's about to turn 40 and have his first baby, so documentary filmmaker David Sampliner is doing what most soon-to-be-fathers do at some point: he's completely freaking out. However, David's fears aren't exactly the typical jitters.
In his self-discovery documentary "My Own Man," David, a self-described pansy who never once in his life stood up for himself, is fearing his lack of machismo has made him an unfit parent, so he ends up going on a humorous journey to seek his manhood. The first stop on his testosterone-fueled trip is to ask the advice of the most manliest man he knows: David's own father. Second stop: see if his longtime best friend, recent Oscar-nominee actor Edward Norton (who also serves as an executive producer), could provide some much-needed insight.
