Synopsis

Follows a fifth grader named Nick Allen that comes up with an argument about how objects are named and where words come from, spurring Nick to rename a pen, calling it a "frindle." Much to Mrs. Granger's dismay, Nick inadvertently starts a world-wide phenomenon with the new word.
