Bureau 749
A traumatized young man with physical abnormalities is forced to join a mysterious bureau to confront a disaster spreadi...
In the unsettling horror film Dead Lover, a young woman named Elsie, portrayed by writer-director Grace Glowicki, is consumed by a grief so profound it begins to warp her reality. After the sudden death of her partner, she retreats into a cocoon of isolation, her mourning process taking a dark and visceral turn. As her sanity frays, Elsie becomes convinced that her deceased lover is not truly gone, but is instead trying to communicate with her from beyond the grave, or perhaps from a more sinister place. Her fragile state draws concern from friends, including those played by Ben Petrie and Leah Doz, but their interventions only deepen her descent into a private nightmare. Blurring the lines between psychological breakdown and supernatural haunting, the film crafts a deeply atmospheric and disquieting tone, exploring the monstrous shape of loss and the terrifying possibility that love, in its most desperate form, might refuse to die.
