The Bold Type is an American comedy-drama television series created by Sarah Watson that premiered on Freeform on June 20, 2017. The series follows the lives of three friends working for Scarlet, a global women's magazine. A fifth season of the series was announced in January 2021, and the season premiered on June 24, 2021. A promotional video for the fifth season was released on May 24, 2021. The video shows the three friends enjoying their lives and working hard at Scarlet. It also features a glimpse of some of the challenges that the friends will face in the upcoming season.
