*Young Rock* tells the story of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, one of the biggest and most charismatic stars in all of Hollywood. The series follows Johnson through three different stages of his life: his childhood in the 1980s, his college years in the 1990s, and his early days as a professional wrestler in the early 2000s. In this preview clip from the fifth episode of the first season, Johnson (played by Adrian Groulx) is seen trying out for the football team at his high school. Despite being much smaller than the other players, Johnson's determination and charisma help him to make the team. The preview also shows a glimpse of Johnson's relationship with his father, Rocky Johnson (played by Joseph Lee Anderson), a former wrestler himself.
