The CW has released a preview for the second episode of Riverdale season 5, which is titled "The Preppy Murders" and will air on January 27, 2021. The episode will see the return of Jughead (Cole Sprouse), who has been missing since the end of season 4. In the preview, Jughead is seen being questioned by Sheriff Keller (Martin Cummins) about the murder of Jason Blossom (Trevor Stines). The preview also shows Archie (KJ Apa), Betty (Lili Reinhart), and Veronica (Camila Mendes) investigating the murder of a prep school student.
