On December 20th, 2019, TNT released an official promo for its upcoming science-fiction horror television series, Snowpiercer. The series is based on the 2013 film of the same name, which is based on the 1982 French graphic novel Le Transperceneige by Jacques Lob, Benjamin Legrand, and Jean-Marc Rochette. The television series is set in what was known as Chicago, and follows the last survivors of the human species who live on a massive, constantly moving train called the Snowpiercer. The train is divided into two distinct classes, the elite and the poor, and the show follows the efforts of the poor to fight for equality. The video gives a brief glimpse into the show's world and characters, and sets up the conflict that will drive the series.
