NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service is an American police procedural television series that has aired on CBS since September 23, 2003. The series follows a team of Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) agents who investigate crimes involving the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps. In the seventeenth season episode 20 preview, the team investigates the murder of a Navy lieutenant who was found dead in a hotel room. The team must determine who killed the lieutenant and why.
