The Magicians is an American fantasy television series developed by Sera Gamble and John McNamara for Syfy. Based on the novel series of the same name by Lev Grossman, it premiered on December 16, 2015. The series follows Quentin Coldwater (Jason Ralph), a student at Brakebills University for Magical Pedagogy, who discovers that the world of magic from his favorite childhood books is real. The fourth season of the series, subtitled "The Magicians 4.06 (Preview)", premiered on January 23, 2019. The season follows Quentin and his friends as they continue to navigate the complexities of magic and the real world.
