The Flash is an American superhero television series developed by Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg, and Geoff Johns, airing on The CW. It is based on the DC Comics character of the same name. The series follows Barry Allen, a crime scene investigator who gains super-speed after being struck by lightning. In the fifth season, Barry must face new challenges as he tries to stop the God of Speed, Savitar, from destroying Central City. In the preview for episode 2, Barry and the team must investigate the death of a meta-human who was killed by a mysterious new villain. They soon discover that the villain is a powerful telepath who is able to control people's minds. Barry and the team must race against time to stop the villain before he causes more destruction.
