**The Darkest Minds** is an upcoming American science fiction action thriller film based on the novel of the same name by Alexandra Bracken. The film is directed by Jennifer Yuh Nelson and stars Amandla Stenberg, Harris Dickinson, Miya Cech, Skylan Brooks, Mandy Moore, and Gwendoline Christie. The film follows a group of young people who develop superpowers after a virus wipes out most of the world's children. The government rounds up these children and sends them to internment camps, where they are subjected to experimental treatments. One of the children, Ruby Daly (Stenberg), escapes from the camp and joins a group of other young people who are trying to fight back against the government.
