**Pacific Rim: Uprising** is an upcoming American science fiction film directed by Steven S. DeKnight and written by DeKnight, Emily Carmichael, Kira Snyder, and T.S. Nowlin. The film stars John Boyega, Scott Eastwood, Cailee Spaeny, Jing Tian, and Rinko Kikuchi. It is a sequel to the 2013 film Pacific Rim and is set in the same universe. The film follows Jake Pentecost, the son of Stacker Pentecost, who is recruited to join the Pan Pacific Defense Corps and fight against the Kaiju, giant monsters from another dimension.
