"Knightfall" is a historical drama television series set in the 14th century that follows the Knights Templar, a powerful military order charged with protecting the Holy Grail. The show's first season premiered on History in December 2017 and was met with mixed reviews. Despite the mixed reviews, the show was renewed for a second season, which is set to premiere in 2019. In the preview for the eighth episode of the first season, the Knights Templar find themselves under siege by the forces of King Philip IV of France.
