In "Chicago Fire" Season 6, Episode 8, "The Whole Point of Being Roommates," Casey and Severide are called to a train derailment involving a stolen ambulance. As they arrive on the scene, they find that the paramedics inside the ambulance are trapped, and one of them is severely injured. Casey and Severide quickly work to free the paramedics, and they are eventually able to get them to the hospital. Meanwhile, back at the firehouse, Boden and Kidd are dealing with the aftermath of the train derailment. They are tasked with finding a new paramedic to replace the one who was injured, and they eventually find a qualified candidate in Emily Foster.
