The Foreigner is an upcoming action thriller film starring Jackie Chan and Pierce Brosnan. The film is based on the 1992 novel The Chinaman by Stephen Leather. In the film, Chan plays a former Chinese special forces operative who travels to London to seek revenge on the Irish terrorists who killed his daughter. Brosnan plays a retired MI6 agent who helps Chan in his quest. The film is directed by Martin Campbell, who previously directed Casino Royale and GoldenEye. The Foreigner is scheduled to be released in the United States on October 13, 2017.
